The Konica Minolta PagePro 1300W is a monochrome laser printer designed for the home or small office user. It offers great print quality and fast speeds, but toner cartridges are a bit more expensive than competing products, such as HP Q5949X toner.

The design of the PagePro 1300W incorporates a little more style than the average beige box printer. It has a two-tone silver and gray look that is very attractive, with rounded edges that soften its corners to give it a more pleasing look. It is not a particularly solid printer, however, as parts of it, especially paper trays, tend to have a flimsy feel to them. The front panel is basic, but functional, with only a few buttons and no LCD screen. The printer has both a parallel and a USB connection.

Konica Minolta PagePro 1300W toner cartridges come in two capacities. The standard Konica Minolta 1300W toner cartridge has a capacity of 3,000 pages, while the high-yield Konica Minolta 1300W toner cartridge is good for 6,000 pages, which is considerably more than HP C4092A toner. Toner cartridges are very easy to replace, as they are accessed quite easily from the front of the unit. Despite being quite affordable at its upfront price, the high-yield Konica Minolta PagePro 1300W toner cartridges can be found very inexpensive, resulting in very low per-page costs. Combine that with the printer's excellent toner saving mode, and you have a very economical solution for a home or small office.

Print quality is excellent for text, with some fonts readable even at extremely small font sizes, and most very sharp and legible at around 4 pt font. Graphics quality is generally good, but some banding and fuzziness is noticeable in some prints, as well as some disappearing lines. Print speed is quite good given the price point, at about 17 pages per minute for text and around 9 pages per minute for graphics prints, which is slow than some color toner, such as Canon 2660B001AA toner.

Overall, the Konica Minolta PagePro 1300W is one of the most economical printers available for the home or small office user. It also produces excellent quality prints at good speeds.
