The HP DesignJet Z6100 is a large format printer for large professional graphics tasks. Able to produce documents at speeds of 42 seconds per page, it will be faster than a lot of models out there with the same capabilities. With a weight of 333 pounds, it is a monstrous unit that buyers won't be able to move around alone.
Eight HP Z6100 ink tanks are needed to print. Cyan, magenta, yellow and black are standard colors, and then there is also light magenta and light cyan colors used too. These help create high quality resolutions of 2400x1200 dpi, and those resolutions will make projects look sharp and precise. Professional maps and graphics documents will be produced easily with the inkjet unit. The last two DesignJet Z6100 ink cartridges are photo black and matte black for standard text documents.
There are three types of HP Z6100 ink cartridges available for purchase. These are refilled, remanufactured and OEM. The OEM version of printer ink is the one that comes directly from the manufacturer—these are also called name brand. The remanufactured DesignJet Z6100 ink is a buyers best bet. These are once used original OEM tanks that have been cleaned out, had all their moving parts replaced and then filled with new printer ink. These are just as good as the OEM brand, but they cost a lot less. The third type is refilled HP Z6100 ink, and it is the worst choice out there. These can cause harm to printers and generally produce low quality prints. Remanufactured inks are definitely the way to go.
So many different paper types are available for use with this inkjet unit. Bond paper, coated paper, satin paper, canvas paper, matte paper, banner paper, signs, fabric, film and vellum are only a few of the many paper types supported by the Z6100.
