The HP DesignJet Z2100 uses HP Vivera pigment printer ink capable of producing documents with sharp and long-lasting resolutions. The standard connectivity includes a fast ethernet base and a high speed USB port. Optional connective options include an HP Jetdirect print server. The device has a large size of 50x27xx41 inches and heavy weight of 143 pounds. Its paper handling capacity has a maximum roll length of up to 300 feet. Users are provided with document finishing options like an automatic cutter that can cut any type of media except canvas after printing has occurred.

The machine's eight HP Z2100 ink cartridges include cyan, magenta, yellow, light cyan, light gray, light magenta, matte black and photo black printer ink. Mate black, cyan, magenta and yellow HP Z2100 ink is able to print a droplet size as small as 6 picoliters.

Using color DesignJet Z2100 ink, the printer can turn out images at a rate of approximately 2 minutes per page. Combining its inkjet media and advanced HP Z2100 ink, the unit is capable of producing a maximum resolution to 2400x1200 dpi. Supported media includes satin, gloss, semi-gloss and matte paper. Its maximum memory of 128 MB is capable of supporting mid-volume output rates. The included sample roll of high gloss photo media and quick reference guide will make the startup process fast and easy.

Each print head includes 2,112 nozzles, allowing the Z2100 to produce documents with exact detail and beautiful color transitions. Available printing and imaging software are a great addition that can help improve the quality of images.
