The OfficeJet T45 is an all-in-one inkjet unit with scanning, faxing, copying and color printing. Released over a decade ago, this now discontinued device was at the top of its class and ahead of its time. In the late 90s most people had stand alone electronics, but the T45 changed that. It was one of the revolutionary multi-functioning printers. To this day, its specs can rival many competitors.

There are only two HP T45 ink cartridges, one black and the other tricolor. The tricolor tank consists of cyan, yellow and magenta ink. The black OfficeJet T45 ink cartridge has a page yield of 830 pages, while the color tank can only yield about 450 pages. Using either kind of HP T45 ink, a maximum resolution of 600x600 dpi can be reached.

There are multiple software programs that are provided that make the T45 even more attractive. OfficeJet Manager simplifies transition from one function to another. PhotoRecall Deluxe helps processing and manages photo imaging. These, among others, make it easy for users to get the best results possible.

When printing with only black OfficeJet T45 ink, this unit can knock out 11 pages per minute. With color printer ink, only 8.5 pages per minute can print. These speeds are not bad considering how old this inkjet printer is. The copy feature can make up to 6 copies per minute using black printer ink and 2 per minute in color HP T45 ink. Like the scanning feature, it can yield a resolution of 300x300 dpi. The fax function has a 6 second per page transmission speed.

Compatible with Windows only, the HP OfficeJet T45 is a rock solid all-in-one printer. It is reliable, durable and still competitive in today's market. Users have loved this machine for years, and with the right maintenance, can have it for another decade.
