It weighs only 10 pounds, enabling virtually anyone to set it up or move it around if need be. For a single machine that contains 3 separate electronic devices, its size is underwhelming at 7x16.8x10.2 inches. That is a lot of muscle for such a small frame.

Up to 18 pages per minute can be produced when printing text documents in only black HP PSC 1417 ink. When using color printer ink, only 14 pages per minute can be printed. The copy machine has the same output rate. Resolution is the measurement of quality. The scanner and copier can reach a resolution of 600x2400 dpi using HP PSC 1417 ink while the printer can get up to 4800x1200 dpi. These resolutions make for professional quality prints.

There are only two HP PSC 1417 ink cartridges used in this inkjet unit, one black and the other tricolor. The tricolor tank consists of cyan, magenta and yellow printer ink. These tanks have lower page yields, which cannot keep up with the 5,000 page monthly duty cycle, so replacements will be necessary sooner rather than later. The HP PSC 1417 ink cartridges can print on various media types and is known for lasting a life time. All in all, this printer is high-quality, affordable and reliable.
