Whether using Windows or Mac operating systems, the HP PSC 1406 will connect easily through USB port. Designed for small businesses or home offices, this multi-functioning unit can scan, copy and print in color. It uses two HP PSC 1406 ink cartridges that contain black, cyan, yellow and magenta printer ink. Whether the task is simple text documents or more complicated color photos, this inkjet printer has the capacity to get it done.
Using exclusively black HP PSC 1406 ink, up to 18 pages can be printed or copied per minute. Up to 14 pages per minute can be printed or copied using the color printer ink. The device itself can produce 5,000 pages per month, but the HP PSC 1406 ink cartridges can yield less than 200 pages. So, if used to maximum capacity, the tanks will need to be replaced frequently.
The scanner uses OCR software, which converts scanned text into editable text. It has a 36-bit internal color depth and can reach a resolution of 600x2400 dpi. The copy machine has a fit-to-page feature but can only make 9 copies per original.
Equipped with a 100-sheet input tray and a 100-sheet output tray, the PSC 1406 does not require much maintenance. It can print on various types of paper, such as cards, envelopes, transparencies, labels and 4x6 photo paper. Using the innovative drop-on-demand technology, small dots of HP PSC 1406 ink are ejected onto the page and layered creating a resolution of 1200x1200 dpi in black and 4800x1200 dpi in color.
Weighing 10 pounds and measuring 7x16.8x10.2 inches, this inkjet unit is compact and portable. It will fit nicely in any home or office, and it will add efficiency and convenience. There are many multi-purpose printers on the market, but not all of them are as dependable as the PSC 1406.

If there is a confirmed print quality issue, only 1 set of opened products will be accepted for credit returns, and only if less than 30% of the ink or toner has been used.
Ink Technologies will replace defective compatible or remanufactured products free of charge if the products are returned within 1 year of the original ship date, and provide a return shipping tag for return of the product.
