The HP PSC 1401 is a simple multi-purpose inkjet printer that does not require much maintenance but will provide high quality results at a reasonably fast speed. Using a revolutionary printing technology known as drop-on-demand technology and quick-drying, long-lasting HP PSC 1401 ink, the photos created are professional and realistic.

The PSC 1401 is compatible with most major operating systems including Windows and Mac. Though this inkjet device does have a monthly capacity of 5,000 pages, the PSC 1401 ink cartridges yield less than 200 pages. The scanner has a 36-bit color depth and special software that can enhance its resolution from 600x2400 dpi to 19200 dpi. It also uses OCR software that turns scanned text into editable text.
