The HP P2200 is personal inkjet printer, complete with fashion and precision. This printer's blue input tray makes it one of the cutest machine's on the market; however, some users might find that the power isn't enough to support the office's needs. Able to produce only 6 pages per minute for black-and-white prints and 3 pages per minute for color prints, many home users will need to seek something faster. For users who only print a few pages at a time, though, finding a better printer may be a difficult task, and the HP P2200 ink used inside can be found from the manufacturer or from third party vendors if saving money is desired.
First of all, it is very compact, which is generally needed for homes. The size is only 17.2x16x7.8 inches, so even college students with tiny dorm rooms will be able to find a space for it. The P2200 will also be very easy to carry or move around when needed, thanks to its 11.7 pound weight. One downfall is the fact that it only offers connection via parallel interface, because newer models offer USB, ethernet and wireless options. Upon purchase, the inkjet unit comes standard with 512 KB, and that cannot be upgraded.
There are only two HP P2200 ink cartridges used inside. One is filled with black printer ink, while the other is a tricolor HP P2200 ink tank. The black and tricolor tank should last buyers 500 pages and 350 pages, respectively. These tanks of printer ink should help buyers produce high quality resolutions of as high as 600x600 dpi.
Transparencies, plain paper, photo paper, glossy paper, labels, envelopes, greeting cards and postal cards are all supported by the unit, and even sizes up to 8.5x14 inches of these are supported. Up to 100 sheets can fit in the automatic feeder.
