The LaserJet P1002w is a cost-effective solution for basic monochrome printing at home. It includes wireless support as well as a USB port for direct connection to a PC. It also has a 150-sheet paper tray and can print up to 15 pages per minute.
With the printer powered on, open the output paper tray at the top to move it out of the way, then lift from the handle on the left to raise the access panel. Look for the handle in the center of the HP P1002w toner cartridge and pull it up toward you to remove it.
Prepare the replacement LaserJet P1002w cartridge by removing it from the box and taking it out of the packing materials and the bag.
Take a moment to rock the P1002w toner cartridge back and forth several times to redistribute the toner inside. You can then remove the paper protecting the drum by pulling it in the direction the arrows are pointing. Finish by placing a finger inside the tape loop on one end and pull it straight out to remove it.
Insert the new HP P1002w cartridge into the machine, sliding it along the rails on either side, then press firmly to lock it into place. Close the access panel, and you are finished.
