The device can support a maximum of 6 paper trays, including a 100-sheet multipurpose tray, 500-sheet input tray and a custom media cassette tray. Additional paper handling features include a high-capacity 1,500-sheet input tray and an optional 75-sheet envelope feeder. The unit supports a number of different media types and can produce sharp resolutions on each using black HP M602 toner. It can print on cardstock, transparencies and labels with a maximum resolution of up to 1200x1200 dpi using LaserJet M602 toner.

The machine operates with a single LaserJet M602 toner cartridge that is easy to replace and has a maximum yield of up to 10,000 pages. The manufacturer provides a starter black HP M602 toner cartridge so users can start printing as soon as installation is complete..
