Printing, copying, scanning and faxing on photo paper, plain paper, envelopes, iron-on transfers and inkjet paper, users will find this model to be very versatile. Four OfficeJet Pro L7680 ink cartridges comprise the core of the printer. These tanks are filled with black, cyan, magenta and yellow printer ink. Using only the black HP L7680 ink cartridge, about 35 pages per minute can be printed or copied. With any of the color printer ink, 34 pages per minute are possible.

The copier can create 99 copies from an original document, thanks to the HP L7680 ink. It also has fit-to-page features. The scanner can turn scanned text into editable text, and the fax machine can hold up to 100 speed dials. It also features automatic redialing up to 5 times.

Though CNET gave the L7680 a 4 out of 4 rating, users tend to have different opinions. Many say that the scanner is a piece of junk and hardly ever works and that the automatic document feeder has failures pretty often as well. Paper jams, alignment errors and costly OfficeJet L7680 ink seem to be among the complaints most listed, and a large number of users actually have complained that the all in one died as soon as their warranty ran up. When weighing the expert reviews with consumer reviews, buyers will just have to determine for themselves who to believe—the CNET experts or their fellow consumer.
