Though one black and one tricolor HP J5788 ink cartridge are all that are needed for printing, a third optional photo printer ink can be purchased too. This OfficeJet J5788 ink cartridge takes the place of the black when printing photos and is optional, not required.

The fax machine can hold up to 110 speed dials, the copier can copy 100 copies from an original and the scanner can scan with enhanced resolution of up to 19200 ppi. All around the J5788 inkjet printer is a great buy.
