When printing in normal mode, the speeds are a little slower, printing only 7.5 pages per minute for black and 3.5 pages per minute for color OfficeJet J5783 ink .A third photo HP J5783 ink cartridge can be purchased, however, it is optional, and high capacity versions of the printer ink is available.

The scanner produces a resolution of 2400x4800 dpi, and the copier prints with 300x300 dpi using black or color ink.
