In 2000, the HP OfficeJet G95 was introduced as the first all-in-one printer from HP that supported network faxing and scanning. It is connected by a USB and is compatible with both Windows and Mac operating systems. This inkjet unit can copy and print in color as well as scan and fax. It offers an automatic document feeder (ADF) and a monthly duty cycle of 5,000 pages. This monthly capacity is large enough to appease the needs of relatively big businesses.
The fax machine has a 125 page memory and 125 speed dials. It can send a fax in 6 seconds at a transmission speed of 14.4 Kbps. The scanner has a 36-bit internal color depth but only uses the optimal 24-bit color. The copier features a 30-page ADF and can produce 12 copies per minute using black HP G95 ink and 9 copies per minute in color. It can also copy as many as 99 duplicates from an original.
There is an auto duplexer included, which allows printing on both sides of the paper. The color OfficeJet G95 ink can reach a resolution of 2400x1200 dpi, while the black can only reach 600x600 dpi. The copier can obtain a maximum resolution of 600x2400 dpi using either HP G95 ink. There are two OfficeJet G95 ink cartridges, one black and one with multiple colors. Cyan, magenta and yellow printer ink go into this tank. There is also a high capacity black HP G95 ink cartridge available for more heavy-duty printing.
Replacement tanks of HP G95 ink are available online from the original manufacturer or from third party vendors.
