For high quality at-home printing the HP Deskjet D4368 is a good option. Sadly, it has been discontinued by HP. However, it is still available from many online vendors. Its sleek, white design and small 5.83x17.5x18.9 inch frame appeals to many buyers, as does its high resolutions and quick print speeds. Windows and Mac compatible, it fits the needs of almost any home user. It has a monthly duty cycle of 3,000 pages, which is a large capacity for most homes. The cost of Deskjet D4368 ink is affordable, and so is the upfront price.
One of the minor drawbacks with this unit lies in its connection. Only a USB can connect a PC to this inkjet unit—wireless and ethernet connections are not available. Newer models also offer direct printing from memory cards or cameras, but the D4368 lacks those options as well. It can, however, print on letter, legal, envelope, index card, photo, transparency and label papers with HP D4368 ink.
In order to print, two HP D4368 ink cartridges must be present—one containing black printer ink and the other containing cyan, magenta and yellow. The tricolor ink can print 23 pages per minute, and the black HP D4368 ink can print up to 30 pages per minute. The black and color Deskjet D4368 ink cartridges can both obtain resolutions of up to 1200x1200 dpi.
Although printer ink may seem a little on the pricey side, there is a way around this. Third party vendors sell remanufactured ink tanks for a fraction of the price, while still offering the same great quality. For those who print a lot, this is an economical decision. Buyers may not be able to purchase this inkjet unit from HP anymore, but those who have it will probably be using it for the long haul—the HP Deskjet D4368 is a durable machine.
