For home users looking for something simple and basic, the HP Deskjet D1568 is worth considering. Offering only printing and no other functions, it definitely won't work for an office—especially with its low monthly duty cycle of only 500 pages. For homes with people who print mostly text and graphics or even homes that occasionally print photos, this inkjet printer may hit the spot.
While some printers may use four, six or even ten tanks of printer ink, the HP Deskjet D1568 uses only two. One is a black HP D1568 ink cartridge, and the other is tricolor. The tricolor Deskjet D1568 ink cartridge contains cyan, magenta and yellow ink. The black and color tanks have page yields of 190 pages and 165 pages, respectively. When it comes to this inkjet unit, low yielding ink is definitely a downfall.
The HP D1568 ink is, however, very inexpensive.
