The HP CP1160 is a decade-old color photo printer with basic features that provide realistic photos, but still take a back seat to newer models with more advanced printing technology. Using only 2 HP CP1160 ink cartridges, this inkjet unit has a maximum resolution of 1200x600 dpi. In more recent HP models, there are individual tanks for different colors of printer ink, such as a HP 920 Yellow ink cartridge, which help prevent waste and save money.
A borderless 4x6 color photo takes at least 20 seconds to print, while documents in color HP CP1160 ink print at 16 pages per minute and 17 in black, which is a bit slow than the HP 22 ink can produce. This device was introduced to the market in 2001 and gained popularity because of the long life and automatic features that simplified printing and maximized quality.
