The HP LaserJet CM1015 color laser printer has multifunction capabilities and is designed for the personal or small office user. It features good print quality, affordable prices on toner cartridges and a wide range of features, but lack of faxing and slow speeds could be an issue for some.
The design of the HP CM1015 color laser printer (also referred to as the CM1015-MFP) is a little odd. The unit is mostly well-designed and features curved and rounded edges that give it a fair amount of aesthetic appeal. Print quality is very good, like the highly rated LaserJet 2500 toner printer. Text quality is quite sharp, and color prints are average. Print speeds are on the slow side, even for a multifunction device. At around 8 pages per minute, it sits at the low end for its class.

Each color laser toner cartridge has a page yield of 2,000 pages, and black printer toner cartridges have a page yield of 2,500 pages, similar to the popular HP 3600 toner. A busy user might have to replace the HP CM1015 toner cartridges more frequently than they would like.
While the unit does not include a built-in ethernet port, it is possible to share the machine across a network with the use of a print server or a host computer. The unit has the capacity to handle a small office of users, but too many and its speed will slow the office down.
