The HP Photosmart C4205 is a thermal inkjet unit that scans, copies and prints. With a 100-sheet input tray (that can hold 10 envelopes), this all in one is compatible with multiple media types, including plain paper, inkjet paper, envelopes, labels, cards and iron-on transfers. It has 32 MB of memory, and it offers USB connection. A black and a tricolor HP C4205 ink cartridge are needed for printing, and a tank of special photo printer ink is optional as well. The only feature it seems that isn't offered is faxing, which could hold some back; however, this machine would fit best in a home office.
The scanner is a flatbed that can reach an enhanced resolution of 19,200 dpi. Its standard resolutions can hit 1200x2400 dpi. It has a 48-bit color depth, and the scanner is compatible with paper sizes of up to 8.5x11.7 inches. The copier can create 50 copies from an original document using Photosmart C4205 ink. Reductions and enlargements are available from 25%-400%. Using the black printer ink, 30 pages can be copied per minute with resolutions of 600 dpi. With the color HP C4205 ink, 23 copies per minute are possible with resolutions of 4800x1200 dpi.
The printer has the ability to reach resolutions of 1200 dpi and 4800x1200 dpi using black and color HP C4205 ink, respectively. With the help of the Photosmart C4205 ink cartridges, the printer can knock out as many pages as the copier.
The HP Photosmart C4205 has a monthly duty cycle of 1,000 pages. It weighs only 11.09 pounds and will be easy to lift by nearly anyone. Worried a bulky unit could take up too much space in the home? The HP C4205 has a very small dimension of 17.09x11.42x6.38 inches, making it a perfect fit in any home.
