When using color printer ink, less than 2 pages a minute can be produced. If using both black and color Deskjet 832 ink, like when printing graphics, about 5 pages a minute can be printed. A 4x6 inch color photo takes as many as 2 minutes to manifest, meaning pictures in a hurry are not possible.
The two HP 832 ink cartridges contain black and tricolor ink and use nozzles to apply printer ink to the page. The nozzles eject the HP 832 ink in tiny dots per inch (dpi). The resolution of this printer is 600x600 dpi, which is not too bad for an older unit. However, more current units can reach 4800 dpi. Some images with the HP 832 ink look a bit grainy but are still acceptable.
