The HP LaserJet 8100 is a monochrome laser printer designed for the small or medium office environment. It is well-suited to high-volume use, and offers fast speeds and excellent print quality.

While mainly designed as a fast laser printer, the 8100 has some multifunction features as well. It can do limited scanning and copying, as it includes a 50 sheet automatic document feeder for scans. Print quality is quite good. Text is sharp and detailed, with well-formed characters even at the smallest font sizes. Graphics quality is good, but a little below average for a laser printer. The 8100 has an impressive print speed of up to 32 pages per minute.
