The HP Deskjet 632 printer is another bleak product in the 600 series with decent quality. Discontinued recently, it can still be purchased online from third party vendors. Would this be a good buy? Probably not in this day and age due to its lack of many capabilities standard of at-home printers, but in the time it was first manufactured, it was an inexpensive way to get high quality prints in the comfort of the home. This inkjet unit is only compatible with Windows operating systems.
Printing at only 5 pages per minute using black HP 632 ink and 2.5 pages per minute using color, this inkjet unit would be best suited for a home needing casual printing only. With its somewhat slow speeds and its lack of an auto document feeder, printing could take time, patience and energy that buyers who are always on-the-go may not appreciate. However, for those with whom time is no object, using the Deskjet 632 could be optimal.
Only two Deskjet 632 ink cartridges are needed to print—tricolor and black printer ink. The tricolor HP 632 ink has a page yield of 350, while the black has a page yield of 500. The resolutions of these ink tanks are 600x600 for color and 300x600 for black. Though these aren't the highest resolutions available, they will print most standard documents with fair quality. Photos, however, would look better using a printer with separate color ink tanks and better resolutions. These HP 632 ink cartridges are affordable, but due to having only one color ink tank, they will need to be replaced more frequently than a printer with separate ones. This shouldn't be a deterrent in buying, though, because remanufactured and compatible tanks are readily available with the same quality as OEM printer ink.
The HP 632 can print on most types and sizes of paper making it a versatile option for home offices. The Deskjet 632 ink is affordable enough to make this a prime candidate for home printing on a semi-regular basis.
