The HP Officejet 6310 inkjet printer is an all-in-one or AIO is targeted at small offices. It comes with a useful feature set but manages to fall short in terms of print speeds and offers middle-of-the road quality; if a small business values these aspects over networking capability and PC-less printing, then there are other models out there. The machine dimensions are 18 x12.8x9.3 inches and it weighs 17 pounds.

The HP 6310 inkjet unit has a monthly duty cycle of 3000 pages. Its rated print and copy speeds are up to 30 pages per minute for the black HP 6310 ink cartridge and 24 pages per minute for color printer ink. This thermal inkjet printer is capable of resolutions of up to 1200x1200 dpi for monochrome and up to 4800x1200 dpi for color prints. The AIO features an input tray with a capacity of 100 sheets. The auto document feeder can hold up to 35 sheets. The user can feed the machine cards, banners, labels, photo paper, plain paper, transparencies and iron-on transfers. It uses two HP6310 ink cartridges.

The Officejet 6310 works with both PC and Mac, and it enables direct printing from your camera via a PictBridge slot. Media card support extends to miniSD, CompactFlash, Memory Stick, MultiMediaCard, SD Memory Card, xD-Picture Card, Memory Stick Duo and Memory Stick Pro. The digital copier can process up to 100 copies at a time. The user can enlarge and reduce documents to 400% and 25% of the original size. The fax element has a total memory capacity of 100 pages. It features PC faxing (send only), automatic redialing and fax forwarding. The ReadIRIS OCR software enables editing of scanned matter.

The HP Officejet 6310 inkjet unit connects via a USB port and is ready for wired networking. Even though the machine is meant for office use, it has enough to interest photography enthusiasts; however, it lacks a preview screen, and the cost of printer ink is high.
