Looking for an inkjet printer with high speeds and superb quality? Take a look at the HP Deskjet 6127. Released in the early 2000s and since discontinued by HP, this unit set the bar for single-purpose photo printers. Even though printing with the black HP 6127 ink could only yield a resolution of 600x600 dpi, the color printer ink shined with an outstanding resolution of 4800x1200 dpi, which is high than HP 95 ink. Dpi is an estimate of how many dots of Deskjet 6127 ink cover each inch of paper.
Like a revolution, the 6127 changed the standard for personal and business-oriented printers. More current models offer multiple services in one machine, such as faxing, copying and scanning. However, for a flat-out color printer from nearly a decade ago, the quality of photographs is enough to keep it in the running on the market, even against more highly regarded ink, such as the Canon CLI-221C ink. Not to mention, since being discontinued and improved on with so many newer models, the HP 6127 is very much affordable.
Installation and maintenance are simple as well. There are only two HP 6127 ink cartridges that will slide right into their slots. The black printer ink has a page yield of 830 prints. The color Deskjet 6127 ink cartridge can reach a yield of 450 pages, which is more than single color cartridges like the HP 02 Cyan ink. The manufacturer recommends not exceeding 5,000 prints per month, so if used to the fullest capacity, the tanks of HP 6127 ink will need to be replaced multiple times a month. In that case, look into third party vendors with compatible or remanufactured options.
This inkjet printer is equipped with an automatic duplexer and 16 MB of memory. It comes standard with a high speed 2.0 USB port and ethernet, but also has an optional JetDirect connection for networking. Printing 20 pages a minute in black and 13 pages in color, there are few options more affordable and efficient as the HP Deskjet 6127.
