Small office users need many of the same features and functions as a larger office, but without the extra expense of a laser model. The HP OfficeJet 5615 provides just that, as an office-centric all-in-one inkjet that can fax, copy, scan, and print. High-capacity HP 5615 printer ink can help to reduce the cost per page, and the unit can reach speeds of up to 20 pages per minute in black and 13 pages per minute in color.
The 5615 isn't as compact as some all-in-one models designed for home users, but for good reason. With extras like its 25-sheet automatic document feeder, there are a few tradeoffs that make it a little larger, but also increase functionality. The unit is still quite compact, however, measuring 9.3x17.1x16.5 inches, and weighs only 13 pounds before the OfficeJet 5615 ink is installed. This makes it easy to move around and even share a desk with, which is ideal for home offices with limited space.
One thing lacking from the 5615 is sharing ability. It connects via USB to a single computer, but doesn't include either wired or wireless networking. Faxing transmission speed is fast, at up to 33.6 Kbps, and scanning is particularly impressive, with a maximum optical resolution of 1200x2400 dpi, and a color depth of up to 48 bits, which should result in very sharp and detailed scans.
A high-capacity black HP 5615 ink cartridge is available for more than double the capacity of the standard version, which will be great news for those who print a lot of black text. Prices for OfficeJet 5615 ink cartridges are fairly reasonable, and using remanufactured HP 5615 printer ink is an excellent cost-saving alternative to OEM versions.
Buyers who prefer the lower replacement costs of an inkjet model but want the office features of a laser model should find the HP 5615 to be a great compromise. It offers sharp print and scan quality, and extras like its automatic document feeder make it very efficient and easy to use.

The HP OfficeJet 5615 is a small all-in-one machine with a big feature set. It can print, copy, scan, and fax, but is still inexpensive enough for the home or small office user. Office users will appreciate that the control panel features a full keypad, and the 25-sheet automatic document feeder can make short work of scanning multi-page documents.
Press the “On” button to turn on the power if necessary, then you can open the access panel on the right of the machine. Wait for the cartridges to move into the opening.
Notice that the color cartridge is located on the left, while either the black or photo cartridge is on the right. Choose the 5615 ink cartridge you need to replace and press down firmly until it releases, then remove it from the opening.
Start preparing the new HP 5615 ink cartridge by taking it out of the box and removing the plastic bag. Then squeeze the handles of the plastic protector to remove it from the cartridge. There is a small tape strip at the bottom of the cartridge that must also be removed.
Place the new OfficeJet 5615 ink cartridge into the opening in the printer, sliding it back into place. As you continue pressing firmly, it will tilt upward and lock. Close the access panel to finish the process.
You are now ready to resume printing with your HP OfficeJet 5615 printer.
