The HP Officejet 5610 ink printer is an all-in-one that is inexpensive and does not feature any real stand-out qualities that would distinguish it from the horde of other multifunction devices out there. The device has a monthly duty cycle of 1500 impressions. Its dimensions are 17.1 x 16.5 x 9.3 in and it weighs 13 lbs. It is a small machine that will not take a lot of space. At the same time it is not built for the rigors of regular printing. The input tray can hold up to 100 sheets at a time, the Officejet 5610 will work with cards, labels, envelopes, photo paper, plain paper, transparencies, and iron-on transfers.
The HP 5610 ink cartridge printer offers maximum print resolutions of 1up to 200 x 1200 dpi for black and up to 4800 x 1200 dpi for color prints. Its rated printing speeds are 20 ppm and 13 ppm for monochrome and color prints, respectively. The HP 5610 inkjet cartridge printer ships with one HP 27 Black cartridge that offers a page yield of 220 sheets and one HP 22 Tricolor cartridge with a page yield of 138 pages. You can also avail 6-ink printing by replacing the monochrome cartridge with a tricolor ink cartridge.
The fax element has a memory of 100 pages; it supports PC faxing (send only), poll faxing, and delayed transmission. Fax-related tasks can be accomplished stand-alone. The scanner on this PC and Mac compatible machine is a mixed bag. It scans grayscales quickly, it can autocorrect colors on originals that are faded. The OCR software lets you edit scanned texts. However, the quality of colored scans is below par. The digital copier offers similar speeds as the printer. It can enlarge documents to 400% and reduce them to 25% of the original size.
The print quality, both text and photos, is very good. The HP Officejet 5610 inkjet AIO is a choice for home office owners but amateur photography enthusiasts are better off considering other alternatives that feature PictBridge and memory card readers.
