LaserJet 5200 Toner Cartridges

The HP LaserJet 5200 series of laser printers is designed for the small to medium sized work group or office. They print at speeds of 35 pages per minute using monochrome printer toner, but it should be noted that real world results will vary based upon the complexity and size of the document being printed. The series has three different models with varying specifications for memory, processors, and features included. The base model, the HP LaserJet 5200, has USB and parallel interfaces standard; the networking models are the 5200tn and 5200dtn and are equipped with 10/100Base-TX Ethernet connections.

All of the printers utilize a toner cartridge and have a maximum resolution of 1200 dpi by 1200 dpi and have the HP ProRes 1200 image enhancement technology. This technology aims to improve graphics production through automatic calibration and paper sensing to provide consistent print quality. Base memory on the HP 5200 is 48 Mb with a maximum of 512 MB; the HP 5200tn has the same maximum and a base of 64 MB. Upgrading these specifications will improve the first out time of large and complex documents. The 5200dtn model has a standard memory of 128 MB of RAM. The HP toner cartridges are easily replaced in the printer by accessing the font panel.

Paper handling is obtained through the 250 sheet tray and a 100 sheet multipurpose tray for specialty style media types. The 5200dtn and 5200dn ink toner printers have an additional 500 sheet feeder tray included. Optional duplexing is available on the 5200 and 5200tn while it is standard on the 5200dtn models. A maximum media size of 12.3 inches by 18.5 inches allows for specialized printing needs.
