Need a cheap inkjet printer? Well, one place to look might be the HP Deskjet 3930, depending on what features are needed. Weighing only 6 pounds, it's easily portable. Its dimensions of 16.6x13.6x5.6 help it to fit comfortably in any desk space in a home office. The unit itself is very cheap, but the HP 3930 ink is a little bit on the pricy side.

Print speeds for this little machine are decent, printing only 10.5 pages for minute with black printer ink and 11 pages per minute with color ink. A variety of paper types can be used in conjunction with the Deskjet 3930 inkjet printer—including plain, photo and inkjet. Eighty sheets of paper can fit comfortably into the fold-up paper tray, which can be folded up when not in use. Borderless photos can be printed with an 4800 optimized dpi, and HP Real Life technologies automatically remove enhance dark areas and remove red eyes of photos. Windows and Macs are both compatible with this unit.

Only two HP 3930 ink cartridges are used with this model—one tricolor Deskjet 3930 ink cartridge and one black. The color ink has a resolution of 4800x1200 dpi. Due to printer ink consumption, these cartridges of HP Deskjet 3930 ink will last the buyer 165 and 190 pages for black and color printing, respectively.

Consumer reviews show that this model might not be the way to go. Most have the same concern—the high cost and consumption of HP 3930 ink. A few have even mentioned that the colors produced are not accurate. If printing small quantities of documents, this could be a good choice; however, if printing large quantities, this particular unit could be a poor choice—unless you have an unlimited supply of money.
