The HP Deskjet 3510 all-in-one color inkjet builds on the compact design and great print quality of models like the 2000, but adds the ability to scan and copy. It also includes support for wireless technologies like ePrint for easier integration with mobile devices. Print speed is up to 7.5 ISO pages per minute in black and 4.5 ISO pages per minute in color, for truly fast performance, and users will save on HP 3510 printer ink as well.

The 3510 includes a USB 2.0 port for direct connection, or wireless support for the 802.11n protocol. When connected wirelessly, the HP ePrint technology will allow users to send a document to the printer by sending an email attachment to a specific address. The unit also has support for Apple's AirPrint protocol, to make printing from iPhones, iPads, and other devices quick and simple.

The 2 inch monochrome display isn't as impressive as the color displays of more expensive models, but it gets the job done and keeps the price low. Users can access HP Quick Forms directly from the screen to print things like puzzles, graph paper, and more directly from the HP website.

The printer ink system uses a combined tricolor HP 3510 ink cartridge for cyan, magenta, and yellow, and a separate black Deskjet 3510 ink cartridge. Prices for OEM versions are reasonable, but choosing remanufactured Deskjet 3510 ink for a lower price from third-party retailers will to help keep running costs in check.

For users who don't mind the lack of a color screen, but who still want the benefit of wireless support and ePrint technology, the 3510 is a good compromise at a great price. Its fast speeds, solid copy and scan functions, and affordable HP 3510 ink prices make it a great package for home users.
