The black Deskjet 3450 ink cartridge has a page yield of 220 pages, while the tricolor tank can only yield 290 pages. The tricolor tank is filled with cyan, magenta and yellow printer ink. The capacity of the HP 3450 ink tanks is definitely not impressive, but users who only need a printer for basic needs, like book reports or flight itineraries, will not need to get replacements often.
