The HP 3390 laser printer is not exactly the prettiest printer on the market, like the HP 2500 toner printer. Its dark gray and beige design looks a bit dated, and its scanning unit looks as if it is perched somewhat precariously on top of the printing unit. Aesthetics aside, the design is very functional. Its control panel is well laid out, with easy access to all necessary features. Paper handling is 250 sheets, but an optional 250-sheet additional tray can add more capacity if needed. The automatic document feeder can hold up to 50 pages for automatic scanning, copying, and faxing. There is also a flatbed scanning surface for media that won't fit in the feeder.
HP LaserJet 3390 toner cartridges come in two sizes. The standard printer toner cartridge has a capacity of 2,500 pages, while the high-yield laser toner cartridge has a capacity of 6,000 pages.
