The HP DeskJet 3320 is an undersized inkjet printer with the ability to produce professional grade graphics and color prints. Using special photo paper and newly renovated HP 3320 ink, this unit can produce color photos that can last a lifetime. The 3320 was designed for personal use and even travel. It weighs only 5 pounds and measures 5.6x16.6x7.2 inches.
This inkjet unit is capable of printing with black or color DeskJet 3320 ink at a resolution of 1200x600 dpi. This is an older unit, and it has only one HP 3320 ink cartridge, which is highly unusual in more recent years. Typically, new models will not have less than 4 printer ink tanks. However, the tri-color DeskJet 3320 ink cartridge holds cyan, magenta and yellow, which fuse together to create a black if needed. There is an optional black cartridge of HP 3320 ink available that can print up to 8 pages a minute, but this is sold separately.
The 3320 is compatible with Mac and Windows, and it comes equipped with different software and reference guides for each. Also in the box is the power cord and power supply, as well as helpful CD-Rom and the initial HP 3320 ink tank. Set up is made easier by the high speed USB connection, accompanied by the standard parallel port.
There are a few features that ultimately save consumers money, such as the printer ink level indicator that shows up on the PC's monitor and an easily accessible ‘print cancel' button to minimize mistakes. The cartridges of DeskJet 3320 ink have a decent page yield and can be replaced for a reasonable price. Replacements can be found directly from the manufacturer or for cheaper from third party vendors.
