The scanner has a 48-bit color depth and a resolution of 1200 dpi. The printer, however, can reach 1200x1200 dpi with black HP 320 ink and 4800x1200 with color.
There are two Deskjet 320 ink cartridges standard in this machine, one black and the other tricolor, consisting of yellow, magenta and cyan. The black printer ink tank has a page yield of 595 pages, while the tricolor HP 320 ink cartridge can yield up to 640 pages. The actual device has a monthly duty cycle of 1,000 pages, which businesses with high-volume printing will not be able to work with.
