The HP 130 inkjet printer is an elite printing machine. At less than $200 it is excellent value for money because it does a great job of printing photos. Amongst inkjet units, it is easily one of the best photo producers. The device measures 8.8x8.0x4.7 inches and weighs a measly 3.1 lbs. If it had battery operability and Bluetooth support, it could have occupied a neat little niche as a portable photo printer.
The HP 130 ink cartridges offer maximum print resolutions of up to 4800 x1200 dpi for both black and color photo prints—another indication that it is serious about its job. The user can print on greeting cards, photo paper, plain paper and coated paper. The input paper tray has a capacity of 20 sheets. The HP 130 ink cartridges use the HP 57 Tricolor printer ink tank; in the absence of a dedicated black printer ink tank, the machine uses all three colors to develop black color. This can become expensive if black HP 130 ink is needed often.
The Photosmart 130 connects via USB and can be added to a wired network.
