The HP DesignJet 1050c offers a monthly duty cycle of 10,000 pages for those with large format needs. Easy to install and easier to use, the DesignJet 1050c can print large documents like maps, posters and photos quite easily. The 1050C isn't the everyday inkjet printer most are used to though—it prints large format documents by using rolls of paper. It weighs a very heavy 178.6 pounds, and it has very large dimensions of 61.4x26.6x50.8 inches. The unit will take up a lot of room and will be hard to fit just anywhere, but moving it will be surprisingly easy, thanks to the rollers on the bottom that come standard. Connection is conveniently featured via ethernet and parallel port, and Windows and Mac are both compatible.

To get it up and running, there are four HP 1050c ink cartridges needed. The colors of printer ink used are cyan, magenta, yellow and black. All four DesignJet 1050c ink cartridges last about 2,200 pages. With page yields like that, buyers won't have to replace the printer ink very often at all.

The great thing about inkjet large format machines is that they have the ability to create documents that are sharper and more precise than any other type of documents out there. Using the HP 1050c ink, resolutions as high as 1200x600 dpi can be reached, and with that the quality of produced with be exceptional. Generally it will take about 2 minutes for each page to be produced.

One thing that people probably won't be fond of is the inflated price tag on the DesignJet 1050c ink. In order to save some money, users should try remanufactured HP 1050c ink from third party vendors. This type of ink costs a lot less than the OEM ink tanks but work just as well.
