Whether used in a home or a small office, the Epson WorkForce WF-2510 all-in-one inkjet is designed for office-centric tasks, but without the high price tag of some of the competition. It can print up to 34 pages per minute in Draft mode, though higher-quality settings will be slower. It has built-in Wi-Fi support, and Epson WF-2510 printer ink supplies are inexpensive to replace, but their small capacities are a little disappointing.
With scanning, copying, faxing, and printing in its repertoire, the WF-2510 is impressive enough, but it also includes support for Epson's iPrint protocol, which enables printing from mobile devices like smartphones and tablets.
One of the more impressive aspects of the WF-2510 is how much it can do with so little space. Its footprint is just 14.8x15.4 inches, and it weighs a little over 11 pounds, even with the WorkForce WF-2510 ink in place. The input paper tray is a limiting factor, though, at only 100 sheets.
Reviews on the unit's output quality were mixed. Photo quality was considered to be barely on par for a multifunction inkjet. Text quality was considered to be in the low end of the range for its class.
Printer ink supplies have a big effect on the overall cost of a device, and WorkForce WF-2510 ink cartridges don't hold up particularly well in that regard. Although the upfront price of Epson WF-2510 ink cartridges isn't high, the color supplies only provide 165 pages and the black supply provides only 175 pages. This makes the overall cost per page for Epson WF-2510 printer ink higher than some of its competition.
The Epson WF-2510 inkjet printer will probably be a good fit for home users who want mainly office functionality with only occasional photos. Its capacities aren't enough to handle a small office, even with its built-in wireless support.
