Inkjet printers are created to be both small and powerful. The Epson Stylus Color 800, for instance, is an inkjet printer built to fit the needs of home users. Weighing 14.3 pounds, most will have no trouble at all lifting the 800, and it even offers a small footprint of only 18.7x10.7x7.4 inches too. Compatible with both Windows and Mac operating systems, setup will be a breeze.
To operate, buyers will need to maintain two Epson 800 ink cartridges. These are filled with color and black printer ink. The black Stylus Color 800 ink tank will last about 900 pages before needing replaced, while the color will last 300 pages. The color tank consists of cyan, magenta and yellow Epson 800 ink. These page yields will be long enough for most home users, and since the black yields more pages, buyers will only need to replace the color ink when necessary.
High quality resolutions of up to 1440x720 dpi can be produced using Epson 800 ink. There are 128 black nozzles and 64 color nozzles that help create these resolutions by pushing the printer ink through. When using only the black Stylus Color 800 ink speeds of up to 8 pages per minute can be produced. However, if buyers chose to go with color prints, these speeds are even slower at only 7 pages per minute. Compared to similar inkjets on the market, the 800 is relatively outdated, and faster speeds are abundantly available. For those who don't print a lot of pages every day or only print one or two a day, these speeds should be fine.
An array of different media types are supported, including transparencies, iron-on transfers, plain paper, glossy paper, self adhesive paper, envelopes and cards. A 100-sheet automatic document feeder is included, as well as three indicator lights for helpful direction.
