The Epson Stylus Color 600 is one of the many color inkjet printers produced by Epson especially for home office users. Coming standard with Windows compatibility and 32 KB of RAM, it may not be the best fit into every home office, but for those with minimal needs and Windows operating systems, it will prove to be quite a machine. The only downsides would probably be its outdated parallel interface connective options and slow speeds. Only 6 pages per minute can be produced, which will be much too slow for many home users. It does, however, offer a convenient 100 sheet capacity in its input tray.
Only two Epson 600 ink cartridges are needed for printing. One is a tricolor tank filled with cyan, magenta and yellow printer ink. The other is a black Stylus Color 600 ink that can yield 370 pages before needing replaced. The tricolor Epson 600 ink will last about 300 pages before needing replacements.
While the genuine OEM Stylus Color 600 ink cartridges may have a steep price, new compatible versions will be much more affordable to maintain. The new compatible tanks of printer ink will cost only about a one fifth of the genuine price but will still maintain the same high quality prints and produce the same number of pages, making new compatible products quite a steal.
Using the genuine OEM or new compatible Epson 600 ink, resolutions as high as 1440x720 dpi can be reached, meaning this inkjet can produce very high quality documents. It will be versatile, printing many different types of documents, including photos, and many different media types are supported. Some of these include envelopes, plain paper, glossy paper, business cards, photo paper and iron-on transfers. With abilities like that, buyers will be able to produce nearly any type of document they desire.
