This Windows and Mac compatible Canon Pro9000 inkjet printer weighs approximately 30 pounds and has dimensions of 26"x7.6"x14". An ample amount of space is required to fit this unit, especially when the trays are extended in the front and back. It has dual paper paths- one that pulls prints through in the standard "L" formation and one that pulls it through completely flat. It does not have the option to print on CDs or DVDs, but does make photo stickers and t-shirt transfers that can be ironed on.
There is an upgraded system in this device which has 8 different colors of Canon Pro9000 ink. It comes with the standard cyan, yellow, magenta and black Canon ink with the additions of high intensity photo cyan, magenta, green and red. All of these different printer inks make more precise and accurate colors with less grainy or glossy results. Each individual Canon Pro9000 ink cartridge can be replaced, and each tank can be cleaned. These colors are stained onto the page using a nozzle technology which ejects thousands of small droplets of printer ink per second. There are over 6,000 nozzles in the Pixma Pro9000.
