The Canon PC940 is a monochrome laser copier designed for the home or small office user. Its large paper capacity and fast copying time, combined with its compact size make it an excellent choice where space is tight. For printing, maybe consider a model that uses Okidata 43324402 toner.

One of the most impressive features of the Canon PC940 laser copier is its compact design. The unit measures only 11.2 inches by 19.5 inches by 17.5 inches and weighs only 42 pounds. This is quite impressive given its speed and price. The result is a copier that can fill the needs of a home or small office user without taking up the large space that a full-size copy machine requires.

The standard array of features are included. The unit can make up to 100 copies at one time. Enlargement and reduction is available from 70 to 141%. Paper capacity is quite generous, especially for the machine's size. It holds 250 sheets in its main paper cassette, and it also has a single-sheet manual bypass feed for alternate types of media. The one downside for some users may be its lack of an automatic document feeder. Instead, the Canon PC940 has only a flatbed scanning surface. While the flatbed scanner supports a wider variety of originals, it cannot scan as quickly as an ADF.

Canon PC940 toner cartridges have a capacity of 4,000 pages, so the laser toner cartridge will not need to be replaced often. To replace cartridges even less, try a machine that uses higher yielding toner, like Xerox 106R01394 toner. The unit's single cartridge system combines the toner and drum into one copier toner cartridge, so it is the only consumable that needs replacing. The machine also has a toner save feature to help users get more pages from each cartridge.

Copy speed is fast, at around 13 pages per minute. Copy quality is excellent. Both text and graphics look sharp, and true to the original. For color capabilities, it won't do—but a model that features Samsung CLP-510D5Y toner should.

Overall, the Canon PC940 laser copier makes an excellent choice for the home or small office user, its fast speeds and warm-up times are impressive. Lack of an ADF might be an issue for some users.
