The laser printer toner cartridge is a single-cartridge system which combines the toner and drum into one copier toner cartridge, which makes it the only consumable that needs to be replaced. Toner prices are very affordable, giving the user a low cost of ownership.

Copy speed is quite good for the price, at around 12 copies per minute. Copy quality is excellent, though a few copies tend to be darker than they should be. This can be adjusted with the exposure settings, however. These features make the PC790 better than much of the competition, including the popular HP P1006 toner printer.
