The Canon PC770 is a monochrome laser copier designed for the home or small office user. It features nearly-instant warmup times and fast copying speeds. Some users might prefer an automatic document feeder in addition to its flatbed scanner, and if a dedicated printer is needed the PC770 probably won't suffice. For that, consider a model like the Oki C5100, which features Okidata 43324402 toner.
Many small offices and home offices prefer all-in-one machines, as they combine multiple devices into one unit. Others, however, prefer dedicated machines for each task, keeping each machine free to perform its primary function. The Canon PC770 laser copier is a very full-featured copy machine in a relatively compact package. The device's footprint is only 19 inches by 17.2 inches, and its 44 pound weight is much lighter than a full-sized copy machine.
Despite being a monochrome copier, the Canon PC770 laser copier has the interesting ability to make single color copies in either red, green, blue, or brown. This is done by using a toner cartridge with a single color in it. Unfortunately, the different color cartridges are not very widely available, as most users prefer black. This feature likely had limited appeal. For color capabilies, consider a model that uses Dell 310-7891 toner.
The machine supports making up to 100 copies at a time, and can zoom from 70% to 141%. Its flatbed scanner can scan up to 8.5 inch by 14 inch paper. It does not include an automatic document feeder, which reduces the cost, but also reduces the convenience.
Canon PC770 toner cartridges have a capacity of 4,000 pages each. The copier toner cartridge is very easy to replace. The single cartridge system means the drum and toner are included in every laser toner cartridge, which is much more convenient than replacing multiple parts.
The printer toner has a low cost per page, unlike Konica-Minolta A0V30CF toner. Copy quality is excellent with these toners. Speed is quite fast too, at up to 10 copies per minute.
Overall, small office users will like its feature set and large flatbed scanner, as long as they don't miss having an automatic document scanner for convenience.
