The Canon PC550 laser copier is a bit of a rarity in the business world: a portable, personal laser copy machine. Weighing under 20 pounds, it resembles a large dedicated scanner, but its input and output paper trays stick out of either side of the unit. These trays fold up to make the unit more portable, and a pop-out handle makes it even easier to transport.

Users buying the unit for its portability will probably understand the tradeoff for speed, however. Copy quality is generally good, and both automatic and manual exposure settings help users get the best quality copies possible. For better quality, try a model that uses Dell 310-9064 toner.

Overall, the Canon PC550 has the portability to follow users practically anywhere, but its slow speeds and lack of features make it a poor choice for a personal office copier.
