Photo printing has become a desired feature for personal inkjet printers in the last decade. For office equipment, though, it is most important for a single device to be able to complete multiple tasks. For a relatively painless $120 investment, the Canon Pixma MX882 inkjet printer will provide users with professional quality images right at home, as well as the ability to make copies, scan documents and send faxes. Five Pixma MX882 ink cartridges work in conjunction with this unit to give buyers the all-around performance buyers seek in any machine.
Canon is the name and convenience is the game when it comes to the MX882. There is a built-in automatic document feeder that can hold up to 35 pages, as well as automatic duplex printing, which could potentially cut paper use in half. Wireless connection is the most common amongst home users while work environments prefer to utilize either the ethernet port that allows networking. Other connection options are PictBridge, Bluetooth and slots for memory cards.
Cyan, magenta and yellow are the color options for Canon MX882 ink cartridges. There are also two black printer ink options. One is the standard black that is used with the color ink to create graphics and images. The other is a pigment-based black that has a page yield of over 4,000 pages, because it is used in standard black-and-white text documents. The other Canon MX882 ink only has the ability to produce 340 pages of black and 510 pages of color before requiring replacements. When that day comes, replacement printer ink can be purchased directly from the manufacturer or from third party online vendors.
Overall, the surprisingly low upfront price of this machine and the affordable replacement Canon MX882 ink allows users with any sized budget to add this all-in-one photo printer to their home or small office.

The Canon MX882 is a wireless-equipped all-in-one inkjet printer for the home or small office. Its unique touch panel can double as a keypad for faxing, and the unit also supports scanning and copying, with a 35-sheet automatic document feeder to speed things along.
Ensure that the printer is plugged in and turned on, and that the front paper tray is open. You can then place your hand inside the opening to raise the entire top cover. Give the carriage a few moments to move to the center.
The Canon MX882 cartridges are labeled according to color. Pry the small plastic lever backward to loosen the cartridge, then grip it and pull it out of the opening.
Start preparing the new PIXMA MX882 cartridge by taking it out of its box, then carefully open and remove the plastic bag as well. Lift and remove the tape strip at the top before installation, and pry the cartridge out of the orange protector by pressing the small lever away from the protector.
Return to the printer and insert the Canon MX882 cartridge into the opening. You will need to tilt the front downward slightly and slide it into place. You can then press down on the top until it snaps. Carefully lower the top cover down to complete the process.
You are now ready to resume printing with your Canon PIXMA MX882 printer.
