The Canon MP730 is a small business oriented inkjet unit that offers four devices in one compact design. A scanner, copier, fax machine and color photo printer would usually take up multiple desks, but the sleek MP730 measures only 17.3x22.8x13.4 inches and has all four. It can print and copy up to 22 pages a minute in color Canon MP730 ink and up to 14 in black. It can also fax a black text page in 3 seconds and a color page in 1 minute.
Like its sister inkjet unit, the MP700, the MP730 is compatible with Windows and offers direct printing from digital cameras or memory cards. However, unlike its predecessor, the MP730 has a built in color faxing feature that operates with Canon Super G3 high speed. It has a 35 sheet auto document feeder for convenience and a flatbed scanner for copying, faxing or scanning more bulky documents. Due to the smart Canon MP730 ink cartridges and print head technology, this device prints and copies at a maximum resolution of 4800x1200 dpi and scans at 9600 dpi.
The Canon Think Tank System found in this unit consists of four MultiPass MP730 ink cartridges. These colors of printer ink are cyan, magenta, yellow and black. This system is cost effective and environmentally friendly, drastically reducing waste by having individual cartridges of Canon MP730 ink rather than a single tri-color tank.
