All-in-one color inkjet printers are becoming more prevalent all the time, but the Canon PIXMA MP260 not only includes the features buyers expect from a multifunction model, it also has the print quality they expect from Canon, especially when it comes to photos. It can act as a digital hub for digitizing, enhancing, and printing photos, and has speeds of up to 6.5 images per minute monochrome, and 4.5 for color. Speaking of color, the FINE system for Canon MP260 ink produces vibrant colors and helps reduce printer ink costs.
When it comes to photo enthusiasts, they may not always have a computer available. The MP260 solves this by providing printing options even without a connection to a PC. Users can connect a camera directly to the device, or print from memory cards or USB thumb drives. The control panel and built-in software even allow for some adjustments to images before printing, so the machine can even work quite well on-the-go.
Much of the excellent print quality is due to the FINE system integrated into the design of Canon MP260 ink cartridges. The FINE system can produce smaller droplets of PIXMA MP260 ink than many competing inkjet models, producing smoother images. Compatible PIXMA MP260 ink cartridges are available for buyers who want the lowest price without a loss in quality.
User reviews of the MP260 are quite positive. The users praise its low cost, calling it a good value for its price, and also its easy setup process. Users also found it easy to use. Some complained that the device is noisy, and a few found the Canon MP260 ink to be expensive.
Overall, the Canon MP260 combines high-quality copying and scanning with solid photo printing. It is a good value for its low price, and running costs are good for small budgets.

Canon PIXMA MP260 Instructional Video Transcript
The Canon PIXMA MP260 has the same great printing, scanning, and copying features as other models in its line, but also adds the convenience of memory card slots. It is compatible with both Windows and Mac computers, and connects via USB port, but it lacks wired or wireless networking support.
Although the model shown differs in appearance, the replacement steps will be the same.
After you power on the printer, open its paper tray before you open the top cover. Lift up from the paper tray opening below the scanner lid and make sure the plastic lever slides out to prop it up before you let go.
The carriage for the two PIXMA MP260 ink cartridges will move toward the center. If you need to replace the color cartridge, open the cover marked C, and if you need to replace the black cartridge, open the cover marked B. Pinch the handles together to lift up the cover, then grasp the small handle on the cartridge and lift it out.
After you open the box and remove the Canon MP260 ink cartridge, you can also carefully open and remove the plastic bag. If your cartridge has a tape strip protecting the print heads, just pull gently to remove it. If it has a larger plastic protective cover, grip the top and bottom handles and pinch them together to remove it.
Slide the new MP260 cartridge into the opening with the printheads facing down, and make sure it is flat before you lower the small cover into place. Press on the cover to make sure it snaps closed, but don’t force it.
Raise the top cover enough to release the plastic lever, then push the lever backward so that it folds in as you lower the top cover.
You are now ready to resume printing with your Canon PIXMA MP260 printer.
