The Canon L3500 is a fax machine and laser printer designed for the home or small office user. It features excellent faxing, printing and copying features in a very compact package, but some users might prefer an all-in-one with scanning included, like the Dell 2335 that uses Dell 330-2209 toner.
The Canon CFX L3500 is perhaps attempting to fill a small niche of users who want to print, copy, and fax, but don't have a need for scanning. While this might seem to be a good cost-saving measure, all-in-one machines are available at the same price that include the option for scanning.
