The Canon JX210 is a fax machine, built for small offices that need high quality faxes at a low price. An all-in-one unit, this machine faxes, scans, prints and copies. An inkjet machine, it only uses one Canon JX210 ink cartridge filled with black printer ink.
This fax machine doesn't have the fastest print speeds on the market, printing only 5.5 pages per minute. However, it does come with a printer ink save mode and automatic image reduction on reception. The input tray can also hold 100 sheets of paper, which means buyers won't need to replace paper too terribly often. Copies are produced at a speed of 4.5 pages per minute, and up to 99 duplicates can be made from an original document. Impressively 99 copies can be produced from each original document, using Canon JX210 ink, and these resolutions can hit up to 600x600 dpi.
Though these other features are nice, the fax function is the hard of this machine. Taking a little under 6 seconds to send a page, this unit should keep up with most offices' needs quite well. Its modem speed is 14.4 Kbps, and a fax memory of up to 60 pages is included. A few extra features like memory backup, error correction mode, delayed transmission on up to 70 locations and polling reception are all included too. Only one Canon JX210 ink cartridge is needed for receiving fax documents.
A detachable handset phone is an additional feature most users should enjoy on this inkjet fax, and users can switch back and forth between fax and phone using the fax to telephone automatic switch. Up to 9 one-touch dial locations can be stored into memory, and up to 60 coded dials can be saved too. One feature that some users may miss is the lack of an answering machine that many similar units come standard with.
