The Canon iP2702 is a color inkjet printer made with home users in mind. Offering photo printing using four tanks of Canon iP2702 ink—cyan, yellow, magenta and black—this unit produces high quality documents print after print. Light weight and easy to move around at only 7.5 pounds, buyers will be able to take the machine nearly anywhere as a portable unit. It also will be simple to find a place for with its 17.6x9.8x5.2 inch size.
Its biggest downfall has to be the slow speeds of only 7 pages per minute and 4.8 pages per minute for black-and-white and color prints, respectively. Resolutions of 600x600 dpi can be reached for monochrome prints and 4800x1200 dpi resolutions are possible for color prints using its printer ink. Plain paper, photo paper and envelopes are all supported.
One thing users always rave about is the low upfront price. Buyers can pay nearly nothing and bring this product home with them. Most also love how high of quality each and every print turns out. The easy setup and user-friendly features are two of the other most highly rated features. When it comes to cons, though, there are a few of those too. First of all, a lot of users complain that it is loud and slow. Buyers also dislike the fact that they must buy a separate USB cable instead of one coming with this machine. Many also find that the Canon iP2702 ink cartridges run out too fast and have too low of a page yield.
If considering this inkjet unit, remember that remanufactured Canon iP2702 ink is available from third party vendors on the web. These Canon iP2702 ink cartridges cost only a fraction of the manufacturer's price, but they offer the same high quality and yield as the OEM printer ink.

The Canon PIXMA iP2702 inkjet printer produces stunning photos at 4800x1200 dpi, though its speed for standard documents can be a little slow, at only 7 pages per minute. Its small footprint of 17x10 inches is ideal for a desk surface, and it connects via USB to a Windows or Mac PC.
Although the model shows differs in appearance, the process is similar. The two indicator lights on the top of the unit will stay on when the PIXMA iP2702 ink cartridges are empty. Note whether you need to replace the black or color supply.
Grab the front edge of the printer and lift the top cover up. The iP2702 model’s cover lifts all the way up, without the blue lever shown.
There are slots for two Canon iP2702 ink cartridges under the cover, marked with a B for black and a C for color. Squeeze the two small handles together to release the cartridge cover and lift it up. Grasp the ink cartridge with two fingers and pull it out.
Prepare your new PIXMA iP2702 ink cartridge by opening the box and removing it from the bag. Depending on the packing materials, you will either need to remove a plastic protective cover by pinching the top and bottom handles together, or remove a small strip of protective tape.
With the Canon iP2702 cartridge ready to install, simply insert it into the empty slot, making sure it is properly aligned, then close the small cover until you feel it snap into place. Close the top cover slowly to avoid damaging the printer.
You are now ready to resume printing with your Canon PIXMA iP2702 printer.
