A how-to video for replacing Canon PIXMA iP2700 ink cartridges.
The Canon PIXMA iP2700 inkjet photo printer offers an impressive maximum resolution of 4800x1200 dpi for sharp photos. It can print borderless 4x6-inch photos in as little as 55 seconds, and its compact frame and simple operation make it a great choice for home users.
There are two lights on the control panel that indicate the level of ink remaining. When either light stays lit, it is time to replace your PIXMA iP2700 ink cartridge.
Start by lifting the top cover. The model shown has a lever to hold its top cover in place, while the iP2700 simply opens all the way.
The two cartridges are marked with a C for color and a B for black. Squeeze the two handles together to lift up the cover, then grab the Canon iP2700 ink cartridge and pull it up and out.
Open the box for the new PIXMA iP2700 ink cartridge and remove it, then carefully open and remove the bag. Your new cartridge will come with either a piece of protective tape that must be removed, or a plastic guard. Squeeze the top and bottom of the plastic guard to remove it from the cartridge.
Now you can simply place the new Canon iP2700 cartridge into the open slot and close the cover firmly until it snaps into place. If you need to replace the other PIXMA iP2700 ink cartridge, simply repeat the process for the other side.
To close the top cover, you may need to lift it slightly and push the lever inward, then lower the top cover slowly into place.
You are now ready to resume printing with your Canon PIXMA iP2700 printer.
